Kintsugi, a traditional Japanese art, involves repairing broken pottery with a lacquer mixed with powdered precious metals such as gold, silver, or platinum. Rather than disguising the cracks, kintsugi highlights them, turning imperfections into a central feature of the object's beauty. This practice embodies the philosophical principle of wabi-sabi, which celebrates impermanence and imperfection.  Kintsugi reflects a profound acceptance of the flawed nature of existence, teaching us to embrace our own scars and life's inevitable changes. Through kintsugi, brokenness is not merely repaired; it is transformed into something uniquely valuable and made stronger having been broken.
